Tyro Group acquires SchädEX GmbH

September 2024

We are happy to share that SchädEX GmbH, based in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany, has officially joined Tyro Group. Through the acquisition of SchädEx, we are delighted to expand our presence and range of services in the German market. SchädEX, a pest control company recognised for its expertise, especially in the food and pet food industry, brings with it a dedicated team of around 30 professionals. Uwe Laubach, the Managing Director and owner of SchädEX, expressed his excitement: “We are delighted to be the second German company to strengthen Tyro in Germany. SchädEX already offers excellent services and, together with the strength of Tyro, will continue to grow and intensify its customer focus.”

The entry into the German pest control market represents an important milestone for Tyro in its European growth strategy. The group now has presence in Germany, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the UK and Ireland and employs around 1,000 people.

Svein Olav Stølen

CEO - Tyro Group

Entrepreneur with a long career holding leadership roles in prominent Nordic firms across various industries. For the past 15 years, Svein Olav has been dedicated to the pest management sector, previously serving as the CEO at Nomor AB and board chairman at Nomor Holding AB. Karl Svozilik

Chairman

Karl began his journey at Norvestor in 2008 as a Senior Associate and rose to the position of Partner by 2016. Before this, he garnered substantial experience in investment banking, with positions at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, CIBC World Markets, and Evli Bank in Stockholm. In addition, Karl holds a BA (Hons) in international business.

Jakob Sellgren

Chief Financial Officer

Jakob has a university degree in finance and held various senior finance positions in the telecom industry before joining the Swedish pest control company Nomor. Since the last 10 years Jakob has been part of building Nomor from a local pest control company to a leading Nordic pest control group holding positions both as CFO and later on as CEO. With his mix of financial skills and pest control experience Jakob is now serving as CFO for Tyro Group.

Max Aronsson

Chief Information Officer

Max holds a university degree in systems science and has a decade of experience in the pest control industry. Previously, he was involved in building Nomor AB into a Nordic leader in pest control while serving as CIO, leading digital transformation initiatives and aligning IT efforts with broader business objectives. He is now serving as CIO of Tyro Group.

Johannes Eliasson

Board Member

Private equity professional with Norvestor since 2020, focusing on investments in the mid-market segment. Before that, Johannes worked as a management consultant in the Nordics.

Robert Stierngranat

Board Member

Entrepreneur who previously held several senior positions within business development, procurement, and sales at larger companies. For the last 12 years I have been working in the pest control industry, building Nomor and Pelias in the Nordic region. Currently working as board member or chairman for several service companies.
